Brief
I joined Talio in January 2026 as its first and only designer. Talio is a signal intelligence platform for food and beverage, pulling data from reviews, socials, menus and retail to show brands what’s happening in their market. The product existed but there was no design function, so I took ownership of everything visual and built the brand and product design from scratch.
Talio is used by marketing managers, ingredient researchers, manufacturers and procurement teams, people who think about products in completely different ways. Building a brand and a product structure that served all of them without collapsing into generic B2B SaaS grey was the problem to solve.
Outcome
For brand, I split the system into three sections. Geist for type, lime green accent, a sky gradient base. The product UI register is clean and literal, the technical register uses lines, dots and structured layouts to express data and signal processing, the 3D is the expressive end using objects like food, stickers and labels.
On product, I rebuilt it from the ground up, how data is organised, filtered and surfaced across the platform. The UI is deliberately restrained, light mode with shadcn with little bespoke, so it never feels too dense for any one group. Two patterns define it: a global filter that switches any view between social, menu and retail data, and a contextual AI chat beside each feature.
